Filezilla
Fill in the provided fields located in the upper left hand corner of the screen:
Host: Enter ftp.youraccountdomain.com. As an alternative, the IP address for your hosting package will work.
Username: Enter your FTP username.
Password: Enter your case sensitive FTP password.
If you are using an SSL certificate, you will need to confirm the security exception.
Select the local directory where the files are located from the left and column under the heading “Local Site.” Doubleclick or drag the files to the server, under the heading, "Remote site.” Please be aware, the default location for web files is “htdocs."

CuteFTP
Load the program and fill in the provided fields in the upper left corner.
Host: ftp.youraccountdomain.com alternatively, the IP address for your hosting package will work.
Username: Enter your FTP username.
Password: Enter your case sensitive FTP password.
Port: 21
Once the information has been entered, click the "Connect" button, located immediately to the right of the port field.
Once connected, the files on the server will load in the column on the right hand side. Drag the files you wish to upload to this location. Please be aware, the default directory for web files is “htdocs."


Smart FTP
Click the Connection button located in the upper left hand corner.
Fill in the fields found on the pop-up window and click OK.
Enter ftp.youraccountdomain.com in the field labeled Host. As an alternate, the IP address for your hosting package can be entered here.
Enter your FTP username in the field labeled Username.
Enter your case sensitive password in the field labeled Password.
Once connected, drag the desired files into the destination folder(s). Please be aware, the default directory for web files is htdocs.
Firefox for PC
Enter ftp.youraccountdomain.com in the URL bar and press enter. As an alternative, you can enter the IP address of your hosting account preceded by ftp:// (e.g. ftp://1.2.3.4).
A pop up box will load prompting for the username and password:
Enter your FTP username in the username field, and your case sensitive FTP password in the password field.
Once successfully signed in, you will see the complete directory listing. Please be aware, htdocs is the default directory for web files.

Adobe Dreamweaver (CS5)
Dreamweaver assumes that you will have a duplicate of your Web site structure on your hard drive.
To set up a file transfer setting, you will first need to set up a site in Dreamweaver. Our instructions include this step.
Open Dreamweaver. Click on the Site menu and choose New Site.
Name your site.
In the Set Up panel, click Servers from the left hand side, and then click the + button to add a server.
A pop up box will load. Enter the following information:
Server Name: Enter a server name.
Connect using: FTP
FTP Address: Enter ftp.youraccountdomain.com. As an alternative, the IP address for your hosting package will work.
Username: Enter your FTP username.
Password: Enter your case sensitive FTP password.
Save this information and connect.
Within Dreamweaver you will find the Files panel in the lower right corner. If you do not see this, click Windows on the Menu bar and then click the Files option.
Once you are ready to upload a file, click the Up Arrow or click Command Shift U. To Get a file, click the Down Arrow or click Command Shift D.
The connection to the remote host can be toggled on and off with the connection button in the top left of the Files panel.



FireFTP
Select Create an account from the drop down menu in the upper left hand corner.
This loads an account creation box.
In the provided fields, enter the following and click OK:
Account Name: Any identifying name for this account.
Host: Enter ftp.youraccountdomain.com As an alternative, the IP address for your hosting package will work.
Login: Enter your FTP username.
Password: Enter your case sensitive FTP password.
Once the account is added, select it from the drop down menu found in the upper left hand corner and click the connect button immediately to the right of the drop down.
Once connected, the column on the left contains your local files, and the column on the left contains the files on the server. Please be aware that the default folder for web contents is htdocs.
